Safety equipment in a car transporter

• The driver should regularly check the condition of the handrails and the tension of the cables. Changing the method of installing the handrail is prohibited.
• The handrail cables are attached by two spring tensioners (1), which maintain tension.
• The tension control is optical. The handrail should be tight and not sag.
• Tighten the handrail if necessary.

To ensure driver safety:

• Entering the upper decks (tractor and trailer) is not permitted if the decks are higher than 2 m.
• The fitting and removal of chocks and belts from the wheels of vehicles loaded on the upper deck of the trailer should be carried out when the upper deck is lowered as far as possible so that these operations are carried out from ground (yard) level.
